SMEs in Kenya have continued to play a key role in the economy of the country. The sector is creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs for youth in the country and is seen to be a major catalyst for economic growth. However, the sector faces a lot of challenges, with less than 10% of SMEs existing for over 5 years.
