SMEs in Kenya have continued to play a key role in the economy of the country. The sector is creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs for youth in the country and is seen to be a major catalyst for economic growth. However, the sector faces a lot of challenges, with less than 10% of SMEs existing for over 5 years. The two major challenges facing SMEs are Access to Finance and Business Management skills necessary to run their enterprises profitably.
Financial and Tax management skills are critical for proper management of SMEs. With these skills, SME leaders are empowered to grow their businesses profitably and attract external financing. Our SME Financial and Tax Planning Program has been carefully designed to equip business leaders with the skills to manage their businesses professionally.
